This wonderful villa in the Umbrian countryside, originally built in the 1800s, has recently been carefully reconstructed  by the owner in order to bring it up to date.  The property lies on the hillside and has exquisite views of the property´s own gardens and olive groves.

The villa is conveniently located in the NW corner of Umbria where the region meets Tuscany and Lazio, ideal for cultural, architectural or culinary exploration. The villa is also fortunate to be set in truly delightful gardens. The large swimming pool is surrounded by olive trees, boasts a spectacular view of the valley below and is exposed to the sun from dawn until dusk (Pool towels are provided). The villa also has a grand terrace. This has open views over the green valley and is especially lovely for sitting and enjoying the sunset with an aperitif in the shade.

Natural history tours, Dante literature classes and cooking classes specializing in local cuisine can all be arranged through the villa.

Interior

On entering the property you will find the hallway with the staircase leading up to the first floor. There is a cozy sitting room, a large dining room with an inviting fireplace and a table seating 12 guests. A fully-fitted kitchen features a professional gas stove with convection oven, microwave, dishwasher and fireplace with a terracotta grill. The first bedroom can also be found on the ground floor, a charming double or twin with an en suite bathroom and direct access to the 20sqm terrace and its panoramic views. 

On the first floor there is an additional living room with a fireplace and high, beamed ceilings, as well as two double bedrooms each featuring an ensuite bathroom, one with shower and the other with bathtub. The Reading room is also located at this floor and contains the staircase leading up to the second floor and the last bedroom, which boasts a double bed, large en-suite bathroom with bathtub, and adjoining meditation space with views.

The bathrooms are all fitted with high quality fixtures and Assisi handmade wall and terracotta floor tiles. A laundry room with washing machine and dryer, clothes line, iron and ironing board is conveniently located outdoors near the kitchen exit.

Rates include: towels, basic pantry staples for the kitchen and produce from the garden. A cook can be organized on request and at an extra cost, either for preparing daily meals to meet your specific needs, or for a special occasion or one-off barbecue meal.
