Luxury villa in Lucchesia

Exterior

Located on the highest hill of a wonderful estate, Villa Duca stands proud above incredible landscape comprising the Lucchesia (land surrounding Lucca) and striking mountains.

The main body of the villa is set amidst an immaculately tended Italian garden with a large swimming pool and accompanying sun loungers. The vast estate around Villa Duca also includes the original and still functioning oil press built in 1850, a lovely frescoed chapel, terraced olive groves, and a horse riding centre. A smart driveway shaded by cypress trees leads guests from the grand gates to the privacy of the villa.

The vast grounds around Villa del Duca are entirely at disposition of the guests, who can explore on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.

Interior

Originally constructed in the 19th century, the villa has undergone a painstaking preservation and restoration process over the years, which has managed to maintain the original splendour of the entire structure while allowing for the discreet introduction of modern amenities. 

The interior of the villa is all beautifully furnished with elegance and fine quality fabrics and ornaments: Frescoed ceilings, hand-painted wall decorations and interesting architectural features give a truly distinguished atmosphere.

The ground floor includes the semi-professional fully-equipped kitchen, the formal dining room, perfect for special occasions, a relaxing lounge salon with comfortable armchairs and a beautiful fireplace, the television room with satellite television, a study with fax, fast broadband internet access, computer, and central music system. Additionally, two full bathrooms can be found and there is access to the loggia opening onto the garden at the rear of the villa.
                   
Six of the eleven large, elaborately decorated bedrooms are on the first floor, five feature king-size beds and one twin beds. Each conveniently has its own en suite bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. Each bedroom affords breathtaking views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
This floor has another living area furnished with armchairs, sofas and satellite television.

The second floor includes five extravagant king-size bedrooms, again all with en-suite bathrooms with shower and bathtub. The master bedroom has the added benefit of a large walk-in dressing room.

Weekly rates include the full staff team: three housekeepers who carry out housekeeping duties and prepare a continental breakfast and lunch or dinner six days per week; a chef available for lunch or dinner six days per week; and a gardener that takes care of the floodlit swimming pool and garden.
