Lovely villa on Pantelleria

Exterior

A wonderful island emerging on the horizon 80km from Tunisia and 100km from Sicily, Pantelleria, is where this lovely villa can be found.

The island is small yet well linked by an airport and characterized by its rugged coastlines, secret coves and inlets, and thriving flora and fauna.  What better to get a flavour of the island than staying in a dammuso, the typical building style here.

There are plenty of architectural and archeological sites to see, nature trails, water sports and of course you can simply indulge in some restful holiday time in your exquisite surroundings.

The villa´s garden is filled with Mediterranean plants, olive trees an the typical purple bougainvillea. The huge terrace is a real vantage point, looking out to the sparkling sea and furnished with sun loungers. Also here there is a cannizzo, the islander´s traditional structure to shelter from the sun and dine alfresco- a type of elegant summer house with large open arches, this is equipped with a barbecue for guests´ use.

The property also affords its own parking area.

Interior

The main entrance to the villa is via the covered terrace. As all dammusi this lovely villa has kept the vaulted ceilings typical of the Arab style of Pantelleria. They keep the building a cool refuge on scorching summer days.

The comfortable living area, attractive with its recesses and exposed stone arches lead on to the kitchen, fully-equipped and with a seating capacity of 12 guests.

The 3 bedrooms all boast sea views and are very elegant with smart furnishings and well-placed decorative touches. There are 2 bathrooms, of which one is en suite.

The small annex has plenty of character and houses the third bedroom, fitted with a French-size double bed along with another bathroom and a small terrace.

A sofabed in one of the rooms can sleep a further 2 guests making the maximum capacity of the entire property 8 guests.

The ethnic and local décor adds a particularly romantic feel to the villa which would be ideal for a group of couples or a family.
