Foligno is a cultural, archaeological and artistic gold mile situated 9 km away from this hotel. This city first inhabited by the Umbrians, then partly occupied by the Romans, whose legacy today is the necropolis and the domus, was held in power along the centuries by Spoleto, the popes and the French . However, it still maintains an unsurpassed charm that can be enjoyed in its archaeological, institutional and natural museums, Palazzo Trinci, the civic art pinacoteca, Park Colfiorito, "Plestini Umbri" and Oratory della Nunziatella.

Montefalco, propped up on the top of a soft hill, in the beautiful valley Clitunno, appeals religious tourists, for the beauty of its frescoes at its churches and sanctuaries. The churches, even dating back to the 12th century, cannot be missed.

At its height, Spello was declared "splendid colony Julia", of which its archaeological sites are witness to.  The walls, the Roman domus, the amphitheatre, thermal baths, the arch forum and the different gateways to the city are inescapable visits.

Todi’s founding (35 km), according to legend, dates back to 2707 BC, and it is a story that deserves to be shared with its visitors.
 
Spoleto (25 Km.) affords an endless number of historical and cultural sites such as the Roman monuments and buildings, its well kept palazzos, some dating back to the 16th century, and a theatre built in the 17th century, Teatro Caio Melisso, one of the first in Italy.

On the last days of May all the wine cellars of Bevagna, Foligno, Montefalco and Spello will open their cellars for visitors to indulge in tasting the celebrated wines of Umbria and other activities, some of which are related to wine and other local goods production. Guests will also be able to join Notta Rosa celebrated every year in May, with music, markets and tasting in the historical heart Foligno. In June and August Montefalco invites everyone to its soirees and musical evenings.
