Exterior

Just a flight of steps up from the beach is one of the most beautiful and peaceful properties in Amalfi, Villa Emilia. It is located conveniently just 2km from Amalfi town centre and looks right over the sparkling blue sea.

Amalfi is well known as an elegant tourist destination and, in addition to its natural beauty boasts a craft scene producing local ceramics and handmade paper and a good selection of restaurants serving excellent food and wine.

The Villa itself has its own lovely outdoor areas for the exclusive use of guests. There is a large terrace with panoramic views which will surely leave you spellbound. Sun loungers provided allow you to make the most of this exquisite setting and spend some blissful days relaxing and soaking up the sunshine. On one side there is a lawn shaded by a pergola and a dining table and chairs, outdoor sink and barbecue for al fresco dining, a real holiday treat.

With an extra charge guests at Villa Emilia can take advantage of the beach just 100 metres below the property,which is reachable by elevator: from june on guests can also enjoy the pool of a hotel near the villa.

Interior

Villa Emilia has an interesting history and its construction can be dated back to the early eighteenth century, thus reflecting the architectural principles at the time of barrel vaulting and archways. Later on it became an important chapel.

Although of course over the following years the villa has changed significantly, careful restoration work has been carried out in order to reveal it´s charming traditional character. The addition of elegant antique furnishings contributes to this look although décor is still very fresh and light.

There are three double bedrooms in total, all of which have their own bathroom with a shower. The comfortable lounge has a satellite television, sofas including a sofa bed for any additional guests and a mezzanine level which consists of the modern, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area.

Guests also have Wi-Fi Internet, air conditioning and laundry facilities at their disposition as well as a daily cleaning service.
