The green Sicilian hills offer a magnificent “background” for Giglio to become a wonderful place from where to enjoy the  nature, its products, history and tourist destinations. This farmhouse in Sicily sits amidst 300 hectares of fields where everything is grown with the traditional methods  handing down through  generations. From the farmhouse Taormina, Agrigento, Siracusa, Noto and Ragusa Ibla, Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone and its majolica factories, Morgantina ‘s  Greek theatre and Mount Etna’s slopes are but some of the spots not to be missed.
The farmhouse occupies the space where there was once a monastery erected in 13th century.

In the 13th century the estate was part of  the  feudal estate of Guglielmo Padula. It was divided in the times when the crown  of Aragon reigned over the island, and then it was acquired by three different families. One of its owners was Prince of Linguaglossa.

There is a precious swimming pool with fully equipped solarium which gives a commanding view of the surrounding area. When receptions are celebrated, it is a wonderful setting for throwing parties.

Activities that guests can enjoy are riding, wine and olive tasting, grape harvesting, olive collecting, trekking, going on excursions and strolling.
The premises offer parking for campers, caravans and space for tents. 
Only biological and regional products are served and savoured such as  wine, olive oil, honey, liqueur, prickly pear, dried and fresh fruit, cheese,  Sicilian delicatessen, homemade pasta, game and roast cooked by  coal.
 
This staff at this farmhouse in Sicily has gained valuable experience of celebrating weddings, banquets and meetings. Professional waiters  will organize perfectly the guests’ position and provide a world class service. Music and fireworks can be set up for the celebration. The high quality of the dishes prepared with biological products, keeping the recipes of Sicilian traditional culinary heritage has been rated by International Guides Michelin, Gambero Rosso and Veronelli.

There is a 18th century carriage with coachman for the newly weds to enjoy a ride.

The layout of tables  dressed in blue damask tablecloth is enthroned with goblets and silver candelabra.
 
Wedding banquets are served by a waiter every 19 guests. The catering service can be provided with in other villas or historical residences.

Flower arrangement, welcome aperitifs and a table where cakes and pastries are displayed   are set up. The Nero d’Avola grapes wine  and other wines of their own production by traditional and ecological methods are host to the celebrations. Different labels will be recommended depending on whether the dishes are based on fish, meat or game.
 
The whole  spaces around the main building and some rooms are suitable for the disabled.
 
 
Interiors

In the rooms  the features of the historical background of the farmhouse such as its walls, antique beams and arches were  preserved. The rooms  afford private bathrooms .

The Restaurant at this farmhouse in Sicily  has a seating capacity of 250 guests and a stylish bar serving coffee and liqueur of the farmhouse’s  production. 
At the restaurant guests will feast on the typical Sicilian culinary delights: omelettes, cheese, delicatessen, game, roast, meat cooked by coal, home made pasta served with olive oil and wine of Nero d’Avola grapes gathered by hand.

There is a meeting room with a seating capacity of  150 people available for congresses, events and business meetings.

The patio at this farmhouse in Sicily keeps the typical style of the region and opens onto the  rooms and the restaurant.
