This charming Hotel in Sicily is owned and run by the Saeli-Rizzuto family, who have owned the property for five generations, passing down their centuries-old, fascinating country traditions. However, some restoration work was carried out on the rooms in order to maximize comfort and ensure the best of hotel quality.

There exists a bar area and a music and home theatre area, with a 110" screen; the perfect place to relax, have a glass of good wine or simply curl up on the sofa in front of the fire on colder days.

There is also a games room with a TV, board games and a collection of books and magazines; and the terrace, once used to lay the almonds and tomato extract out in the sun, provides an extraordinary view over the whole surrounding countryside.

The restaurant "Il Granaio" used to be the old granary of the farm. There is a great fireplace at the end of the room, and the warm terracotta floors and the carefully designed lighting make it really unique. The restaurant offers set or alla carte menus based on Italian cuisine. The ingredients are fresh; and the wine list includes some of the best wines produced in Sicily, as well as a small selection of some of the best-known national wines.

The best way to spend your time in Susafa is to do simple things, as people once did, simply appreciating its beauty. Guests can enjoy a day out with the mountain bikes or by going for a long walk up the Balata hills to breathe in the smells of the countryside, and enjoy a glimpse of authentic and unspoiled Mediterranean nature.

About 30 minutes away from these apartments in Sicily, near the village of Buonfornello, stands an 18-hole golf course. In Castellana Sicula, 16 km away, you can book a horse ride and be accompanied by a guide along the paths in the Madonie National Park.

Interiors

The farm has 13 guestrooms, with a sleeping capacity of 30 places. There is also an apartment with three double bedrooms, a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen.

Each room in has an en-suite bathroom with shower, as well as adjustable climate-control. Guests may choose from the standard double, triple, four-bed or superior double.

Wooden beams, traditional plaster walls, floors in Sicilian terracotta with original antique tiles added as a feature, and exposed stone walls in these apartments preserve that wonderful feeling of that Sicilian country home this place once was.

The professional staff at this place is qualified to arrange receptions in truly dramatic settings, with impressive indoor and outdoor lighting effects. Up to two hundred people may be hosted indoors, and four hundred outdoors.
